    Current Hobby

In the midst of Dry January, I find myself experimenting with fun, tasty, non-alcoholic drinks. As of late, I’m attempting to perfect an at-home London Fog (Earl Gray Tea, sweetener and steamed milk)- to stand in for my post-work glass of wine. I ordered a lavender syrup, since this has been my favorite variation in coffee shops, and busted out the frothing attachment for my immersion blender! If anyone has advice on which non-dairy milks froth the best, I’m all ears!

  • Currently reading. . .

After watching the Netflix special, “How to Get Rich,” I decided to take a deeper dive into host Ramit Sethi’s philosophy. I picked up his book “I Will Teach You To Be Rich” from Half Price Books last week and it’s very informative so far! Like many of us, talking about money absolutely makes my skin crawl so I’m pushing outside of my comfort zone with this book! If you’re interested in checking it out, the book can be ordered on Amazon here .

  • Recent Travels: The Garden State

Growing up in Missouri, I never gave much thought to New Jersey at all. Before a few weeks ago., my only experience was Newark Airport. However, my husband is from Sussex County, New Jersey and the time had come for us to pay his home state a visit. And wow, did it surprise me! From tree-lined highways to merging right to turn left, it was a trip full of the unexpected. Given a few more days, I could have worked my way through the entire menu at the charming Yetter’s Diner outside of town!
